A holiday in Taormina at every time of the year allows you, apart from a visit of this lovely little town, to visit also the surroundings, which are as much interesting from a historical, landscape and cultural point of view. We suggest to our guests who have chosen our hotel some excursions along the eastern coast of Sicily. Locations are reachable in just a few minutes time.

Together with the tourist visit of Taormina you may visit the next by Castelmola, situated just at the top of Taormina. This is one of the seven most beautiful historical top hill villages among the more then hundred all over Italy. The stunning panorama reaches all over the Ionian coast.

From our hotel, driving in direction Messina, you reach in few minutes and can visit Letoianni and Sant’Alessio with their wide sandy beaches. Just a bit further and heading towards the inland, you reach then Savoca, scenic background for some scenes of the famous “Godfather” movies.

Driving in direction Catania instead, after few minutes you reach Giardini Naxos with its famous fine sandy beaches. To visit the ruins of the first Greek colony “Naxos”, the Archaeological Museum, the Nature Museum.

From Giardini Naxos towards the hinterland after 15 km you reach the Alcantara Gorges, in the homonymous valley.

Near Giardini Naxos you will find the Castello di Calatabiano or Cruyllas where a panoramic lift will bring you up to the hill in order to visit the museum and the restored halls. Driving towards Catania you can easily reach the Cyclops Riviera. Acitrezza with its stack rocks, Acicastello with its castle-museum, and all the enchanting lavic coast.

We suggest an excursion to Mount Etna. There are 2 itineraries recommended, Etna South side in order to reach the Sapienza refuge at an altitude of 2000 metres and then proceed towards the mountain top at an altitude of about 3000 metres. The other itinerary is Etna North side in order to reach Piano Provenzana with the visit of Castiglione, Linguaglossa, Randazzo, Milo, Zafferana, Piedimonte Etneo.
